What is a "virtual server"?
A "virtual server" is a website which is hosted on an Opal server along with other client websites. All the sites on the server share the same resources on the physical server. A virtual server is well suited to low to medium volume sites.
Virtual Website Advantages:

What's a "dedicated server"?
A "dedicated server" is a server owned by Opal but is completely dedicated to a single customer. All of the server resources are available to your website and server applications.

We recommend dedicated servers to our clients that have, or expect to have, medium to high volume sites.
